  • Health Insurance

  • MNsure’s special enrollment period (SEP) in response to the coronavirus health emergency ended April 21. However, there are still opportunities to enroll in coverage for those who have lost or will lose their employer-sponsored health insurance or experience another qualifying life event. Minnesotans who fall into certain income guidelines can apply for low- or no-cost coverage through the state at any time.

  • MNsure-certified navigators and brokers are available by phone.

  • Call the MNsure Contact Center at 651-539-2099 (855-366-7873 outside the Twin Cities). Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.

  • If you qualify for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare, or are a member of a federally recognized American Indian tribe, you can enroll through MNsure at any time of the year.

  • If you are a currently enrolled in MNsure, you must have a qualifying life event to change plans.

  • Comcast Xfinity–WiFi hotspots available to anyone who needs them for free, including non-Xfinity subscribers. Simply view available networks, select the “xfinitywifi” network name and launch a browser

  • Spectrum - Free broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college

  • T-Mobile - Current T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers will have unlimited smartphone data for 60 days

  • AT&T - Waiving late fees and will not terminate service because of inability to pay due to COVID-19; Public Wi-Fi hotspots open. Contact 1-800-288-2020 if you are unable to pay your bill

  • Everyone can work to reduce the spread of COVID-19

  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or sleeve, or a tissue and then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands afterwards.

  • Washing your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom or before eating. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

  • Avoid touching your face – especially your eyes, nose and mouth – with unwashed hands.

  • Stay home if you have cold- or flu-like symptoms, for seven days after your illness onset and three days after your fever resolves without fever reducing medicine (whichever is longer), and avoid close contact with people who are sick.
